  • What's the difference between the Editing Course and 1-to-1 Premium Package?

    The Video Editing Package is the full video editing course in its entirety, there's nothing removed. However, the 1-to-1 Package adds some additional file management tips and bundles that together with a private review of your video project. Note, in order for Dane to provide the best feedback this isn't a live session. You'll gain access to a secondary course structure that outlines how to share your project for review. Dane will then analyse and in return send you a video review covering specific feedback and improvements on how to bring a new level of professionalism to your editing!

  • How does the course work?

    This is a self-paced video course, so you can progress through at your own speed with no stress of trying to keep up with others. All resources and over 5-hours of video are unlocked instantly.

  • Do I need to know how to edit already?

    Not at all — this course is perfect for beginners! It's a comprehensive A-to-Z guide that teaches you everything from the ground up. We start as simple as where to locate the software and how to open it on your computer.

  • What editing software is used?

    I'll be teaching you on Final Cut Pro. It's a beautifully visual and simple software with professional grade options for more advanced users.

  • Do I need a Windows computer or Mac?

    To simply watch and follow the course, any computer or device will do. However, to specifically learn these editing techniques you will need a Mac — Final Cut Pro is a Mac exclusive application.

  • Is buying Final Cut Pro necessary?

    Not yet. I realise FCP is an expensive application, so I'll share how to get a free trial so you can learn now and decide later.

  • What if my computer is too slow to edit?

    In an early lesson I discuss playback issues and show step-by-step how to best optimise Final Cut Pro to work smoothly using proxy media to reduce the load.

  • Is this course only for travel vlogs?

    Not at all! This is a full video editing guide and the skills you learn translate to literally any kind of edit you'd like to achieve.
